The Australian Islamic College is a God-centred, co-educational institution (k-12) which provides a high level of academic and Islamic education through its network of three colleges in Dianella, Thornlie and Kewdale. Since 1986 this Islamic educational facility has provided the best in academic achievement and in its philosophy of high morals and conduct.

The College has a unique mix of students from a wide variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds allowing students to develop a better understanding and appreciation for Australia’s multicultural society. Students are taught to be proud Australians citizens and to contribute in building a prosperous, harmonious and safe Australia.

The College’s success in achieving its educational objectives is attributed to its network of experienced teachers and its emphasis on effective learning through the small teacher/student ratio and a caring ‘family’ atmosphere. AIC believes that a solid academic education coupled with morals and values teachings is the greatest legacy for its students.

EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

At the AIC, knowledge is not divided into sacred or secular and the need to acquire knowledge is considered a duty for all. Keeping these important points in mind, the AIC is strongly committed to the mental and spiritual development of its students. By focusing on the academic and spiritual qualities, we strive to achieve Success and Happiness for our students in their future endeavors. Success for us is not defined purely by high academic achievement or material gain. While these features are a contributing factor, we believe that Spiritual Development, Human Relations, High Morals/Values and a genuine Sense of Belonging and Concern for each other contributes to the success of an individual. These factors in turn create a sense of contentment and happiness- something that cannot be achieved with material or worldly gains alone.

PARENTS’ ROLE Parents are the first and foremost teachers of their children and it depends upon then (through the mercy of Allah) to secure or destroy the well-being of their children. As Muslim parents we want to pass this sacred vision of life on to our children so that it becomes their vision as well. For this, our children must be raised in an Islamic environment, especially when learning. We need to send them to a school that fulfills the moral, religious, philosophical and academic requirements we have as Muslims - a school that incorporates the principles and ideals of Islam into every aspect of learning and life.
