Facilities & Services
Facilities
Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School and Ipswich Junior Grammar School form one campus situated in extensive, landscaped grounds. Stately original school buildings are complemented by modern classrooms and facilities for active young people, including:
Services
Our educational programs are supported by a strong network of services to help families access diverse opportunities for learning and living, whilst maintaining busy lifestyles.
These services are all geared so that being a part of our School community is amenable and rewarding for parents as well as their children.
Pastoral Care
Form Teachers, Level Coordinators, our Learning Enrichment staff and professional Counsellors form an effective network that supports students, especially when they experience circumstances that might affect their academic progress, such as learning difficulties or disruptive events in family life.
When students feel their ability to cope with school is being affected by family or friendship matters they can talk confidentially to our Counsellors. As qualified psychologists they understand the developmental, emotional and behavioural patterns of children and young women.
Our age-appropriate Life Skills programs benefit from the up-to-date research and best practices they provide to teachers and Level Coordinators. This means transition periods are acknowledged and well-managed, encouraging your children to develop resilience and social maturity.
Boarders and families who have recently moved to Ipswich find this pastoral care network particularly reassuring when they begin to deal with a different environment, separation, homesickness, and a new school routine.
