Mandurah Baptist College has been established to provide a high standard of private education in the Peel Region. It is situated in the Lakelands residential estate north of Mandurah.
The College is co-educational. It is associated with 12 other colleges and the Baptist Union of Western Australia, a community of 103 churches.
OUR AIM
The aim of the College is to provide a comprehensive curriculum which will cater for the individual needs of students and to foster a desire for learning and excellence.
Within this framework students will be encouraged to:
1 Develop a love for learning and striving to reach their potential.
2 Acquire life skills and knowledge using their personal talents.
3 Develop self-discipline.
4 Show respect for self and others.
5 Develop a personal awareness of the existence of God and Biblical principles.
CURRICULUM
The following areas form the basis of the curriculum:
Science, Mathematics, English, LOTE, Society and Environment, Christian Education, Art, Physical and Health Education, Computer Studies, Commerce, Design and Technology, Food and Nutrition, Clothing and Drama. Information Technology will be incorporated into all Learning Areas.
STAFFING POLICY
Staff will be selected on merit and will be professional teachers who have a deep commitment to both a high standard of education and the Christian faith. Ongoing professional development will be provided to staff to maintain the highest level of teaching practice.
