What is RSS?
RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is an easy way for you to receive up-to-date job listings from
SEEK via your computer desktop.
You can set up a free RSS job 'feed', which is simply content sent from
the site to you.
Why would I use RSS?
- No personal details are required so there is no danger of getting spammed.
- Be regularly alerted with fresh jobs when you don't have time to visit the SEEK site.
Instead, the job listings come to you.
- Unlike SEEK Job
Mail, which sends daily e-mail alerts, an RSS job feed notifies
you frequently throughout the day so you can find out about
suitable jobs faster.
How do I access RSS?
Three-Step Guide
- Download an install an RSS reader: Easy-to-use
readers include NewsFire (Mac
OS) and FeedReader (Windows).
Set up usually takes about 5 minutes. Once you
have installed the software return to
SEEK
to
complete the step below.
- Subscribe by adding the job search feed
into the reader. Copy and paste the
website address (URL) below into your RSS reader.
Feed title : matching "a"
- Enable JavaScript in your web browser for your feed to function correctly.
- Your reader will give you a summary of the job to review when a new job matching this criteria is listed on the site.
- Choose how frequently you want to be
updated: Set up your reader to refresh
the feed at a rate that suits you. Jobs are posted
to the site every 15 minutes.
