SEEK recognised for Responsible & Ethical AI use in AFR AI Awards
SEEK has been named as a finalist in the inaugural Australian Financial Review (AFR) AI Awards.
The awards celebrate groundbreaking achievements in artificial intelligence, and the innovators and leaders who are shaping the future. SEEK was named as a finalist in the Ethics and Responsibility category for Responsible AI Frameworks. In an interview with the AFR, Grant Wright, SEEK's Group Executive for AI said “Employment decisions significantly impact people's lives, so we needed clear guidelines to ensure our technology can help everyone and ensure a fair, transparent and effective hiring process.”
“Better AI matching has led to jobseekers seeing more relevant jobs and applying more often, with apply rates increasing 25 per cent over the same period, leading to a 63 per cent increase in total applications.”
With one of the country’s most well-established AI teams, SEEK’s approach to Responsible AI has been built over years, with the aim of making the jobs market more efficient and delivering better outcomes for hirers and candidates while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
