Service Technicians install, maintain, test and repair various equipment or systems. They may be required to travel to a client’s location, to provide these services. Service Technicians may specialise in a particular area such as air-conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, fire alarms, security systems, and audio-visual equipment.

How to become a Service Technician
- If you’re interested in refrigeration, consider undertaking a Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32211).
- If you’re interested in electrical servicing, you’ll need to complete a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30811).
- You could also consider mechanical servicing. You’ll need to do complete a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (MEM30205).
