Store Manager
Mar 2020
Drummoyne NSW, Australia
7 to 8 years in the role, current employee

Company with good values.

The good things
The trust and freedom you get to apply as a manager. The company can make you feel valued and listens to what we have to say for our stores individual needs. There is a great team culture from our pillars to management on the floor which trickles down to the way leaders work with in their own stores.
The challenges
You really need to know how to plan and communicate to your line managers. You need to constantly look at ways to create opportunities.

Run away.

The good things
Leaving at the end of the day.
The challenges
Working for a company that hasn't got a clue. Poor training of staff and managers. Area Managers use pressure tactics and threats rather than constructive criticism. Fluctuations in fortnightly pay despite being on yearly salary.

Working in such a fast paced store is always a challenge but it keeps you on your toes.

Splendid, satisfactory and an all round good learning experiment.

Dealing with the busy periods of trading, such as school holidays and public holidays.
