covid 19 / was very unpleasant time for the residents ,seeing only a person in face shields ,masks & gowns , trying to comfort them and take away the feeling of not knowing what was happening around them .

Terrible experience, would not recommend. If you do get in, get in for some experience for a few months and do yourself a favour and leave early.

The insurance offered from the franchise.
The challenges
Changing management. There was no permanent manager. I reported to 5 different managers and they would try to bring some changes and it will go back to being the same again.

Elderly residents and their families making them feel safe and reassured they are making the right decision in placing their loved ones.

No support, no induction or proper orientation for the job requirements.

You will be very sorry if you go to work for Bupa Ballarat. Very unhappy residents, just a pity that management can't see it or is it the fact that they do not care

The good things
The residents and some co workers. Hours and days suited to my lifestyle.
The challenges
Many. Constantly carrying the load with trainee staff, unrealistic workloads, management do not value their reliable team members, admitting new residents and not extending hours, high turnover of management.
