Culture changed for the worse when there was a big change in top management. A lot of excuses get made for awful treatment of staff and they do not provide proper support to teams. It appears no one really knows what they are doing, and this is even seen by junior staff members who question their decisions.

As Richard Branson says \"Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to!\". CAMILLA has a great training and induction program. However, they lack structure, undervalue their staff and treat them very poorly.

Besides higher management, the people you work with are amazing. I made some lifelong friends working here.

Where to begin? There was such a lack of support and communication between higher management and the rest of the company. In my time there, the majority of the original benefits and perks that were once offered were either taken away or reduced. There is also a lack of progression, with higher management continually suggested opportunities in order to keep staff, but these were never fulfilled.

All the Magic is Lost

The good things

Camilla was originally a company that was run by intelligent and passionate women who were driven to be leaders in retail whilst also maintaining a point of difference in the retail industry. Camilla used to be a company full of opportunity and senior management who listened to and invested time and energy into the people on the ground level.
