it was a wild ride I served 34 Years and have no regrets I enjoyed serving my country and believe I helped make a difference and worked with some truly great people.
I was severely underutilised and unprepared by my early mentors, it was not enjoyable.
The good things
Flexible working hours and overtime in the form of time off.
The challenges
Trying to find a role that really suits you, the inability to move around and the unwillingness of personnel to let their team members move on to something else.
