Workloads can be quite stressful in the mining departments but in general a good company to work for.

The good things
Goldfields puts a lot of effort into innovation and promoting a strong safety culure
The challenges
as usual.... under-staffing and some management that although are quite skillful technically can sometimes lack the people skills that are essential for holding teams together. Overall, I would say that the intention is there to help people grow.

It was only a means to an end.

The good things
Working with underground team was great.
The challenges
Having to report to someone who had no idea of what the role was all about. Unless you are prepared to crawl and grovel, there is no opportunity to move anywhere in this company.
