Started off great, ended with burn out and not being able to trust what is said

The good things
The team you build. The ability to create a family life within the business
The challenges
Upper management, constant change of the goal posts. Incredible budgets and targets. Always pushing more into the bag. Toxic between different stores for who is number one

Do not accept a service desk role here.

The good things
Discount for cheaply made "designer PJs"
The challenges
Didn't work here long, however it was long enough to know that this Service Desk is a sinking ship. Management just pile work onto service without going over things with them and expecting the team to know everything. The service desk here seems like you do 90% of other peoples jobs for them, the lack of training across the board in all departments is shocking. Only one good 2IC who actually cares about the job and people around him. It might have been a different experience if management was different.

I would not recommend working for The Just Group at all

The good things
Working with team members was awesome
The challenges
No work/home life balance, unrealistic expectations made of store managers & staff members when it comes to paperwork & KPI's, constant visual merchandising that takes hours if not 2-3 days to do, large quantities of stock coming into stores & no time or staff hours to do it all, managers made to feel useless & incompetent & will leave you with a very large dose of stress & anxiety & no real support from regionals or higher ups

The challenges

Please avoid

The good things
Great teams to work with in store, staff discount and incentives.
The challenges
Unfortunately there’s no work life balance. Visual merchandising changes are intense and continuously changing which is time consuming and takes time away from customers. Expectations of working free overtime *not just on public holidays, practically every single day*. Phone calls, texts and emails on days off so you have no chance to switch off from your job role. Not to mention the stock levels. This company takes a toll on you.

Overall, I’d get in the trenches for other frontline staff, but upper management are definitely not allies.

The good things
Mostly great colleagues in the retail environment; everything good is generally the result of the RSM.
The challenges
Extremely high expectations from middle and upper management (if they had it their way, we wouldn’t have a moment to breathe); not much appreciation for frontline staff (pleasing every customer is a tough job).
