Very toxic working culture, back bitting and unfriendly team.

The good things
Flexible working hours and working from home options
The challenges
Managers don’t tell what is their expectations from you.

Worth it for now, but not forever.

The good things
Amazing, hard-working, down to earth people. Team focused mentality in the office and the environment can be enjoyable. Develop life-long connections and given the chance to take on a lot of responsibility early on in one's career.
The challenges
Awful work-life balance, unreasonable deadlines, low pay, quality of work is often an afterthought, poor guidance and no responsibility taken by senior management for sub-par outcomes. Lack of internal job mobility to other teams or internal secondment opportunities.

"Character building"

The good things
Within certain groups, the comradery is very warming. The offices and staff benefits or discounts are great.
The challenges
Senior management do unfortunately treat you like a number. You are expected to work until your work is complete (insane hours) and once you do speak out regarding your workload or subsequent remuneration as such, most often you will be pushed out.

Excellent organization to jump-start your career.

The good things
The team I work with is a close-knit team with high regard for mutual trust and respect. It is a group of talented people with excellent work ethics. This team is supported by the peoplecentric policies of KPMG.
The challenges
It is a huge organization and it is easy to get lost in the vast number of teams and groups. It is important to stick to your strengths and develop core capabilities while working on a gamut of different projects.

Overall its good if you need a multinational brand on resume. it also helps you to learn lots of things in short time as KPMG has latest tech and process. However, If you are looking for a career growth and salary, you should consider another firm. At the end, employees are just a NUMBER for KPMG.

The good things
- Work flexibility is great. Very supportive to balance work and life. - Nice and experienced people. - Good office views for sure - 6 months parental leave !! - extra support on personal leave issues - Cafes at the office
The challenges
- Poor performance review style - One way performance review (team members cannot pass review for worst bosses, but they can kick team members anytime) - Promotion happens based on management titles and not talent - Rare career growth option (unless you know how to BUTTER bosses) - HR processes are fully tangled all the time - Leaders dont talk people but finance mostly - 40% less salary compare to market

A great stepping stone to longer careers. A long time here could potentially lead to burn out if you're not managing your work life balance correctly.

The good things
Great team work and everyone is incredibly professional and friendly. Leadership and Management always make opportunities available for junior members.
The challenges
Difficult to progress without a degree despite many years working experience.

Traumatic. Not all of the company is like it, but the super team was.

The good things
I enjoyed the perks of the larger firm. The company events etc were great.
The challenges
Hard work, but you are rewarded and it is good work. The issue for me was the day-to-day work environment.

Great if you want a career in consulting & don't mind working excessively long hours & have no work/life balance.

The good things
Nice offices and generally great people to work with Very busy with a lot of variety in work
The challenges
Churn and burn mentality - there is no work life balance Long hours are expected at all times, it's not unusual to work 12-14 hours a day every day for months on end, including weekends. No career development unless you work long hours

Best 7 years of my working life.

The good things
The prestige and huge amount of knowledge gained working for one of the Big4 firms, great team luncheons in fancy restaurants, and other perks. You learn to be tough as expectations are very high, but in the long run worth it. You gain confidence, every day is different and everyday is different challenge.
The challenges
Not for the faint-hearted, I saw many people getting burnt out and unable to say 'no' to management. If you don't have the strength or gut for it, you won't last very long.
