Impossible to get anything done unless you are constantly chasing up other departments.
The good things
Depending on which site you are at the social aspect can be quite good, people are really friendly.
The challenges
Constant restructures and cost-cutting has erroded what was once a great culture. Manufacturing sites are delapidated, and there is no money to fix anything. Upper management seems more interested in press releases and LinkedIn posts showing how wonderful life is than actually maintaining facilities. Corporate policies are written with loopholes so big it ends up being up to individual line managers to decide if they have the budget to follow them or not.

The good old days are over...
The good things
- Free products
- Good work/life balance (even prior to COVID)
- Nice offices
The challenges
- Brands are in decline with no plans to make any changes.
- Everything is based on a hierarchy with only senior managers making decisions for the whole company.
- Managers micromanage staff, literally everything has to be run by senior management
- Major decisions made on nothing more than managements preferences or gut feel
