Administration Role
Mar 2024
Wollongong, Illawarra & South Coast NSW

Unfortunately I was chosen for a role in which I believe I was not the desired candidate from the onset.

The good things
Working in an environment that assists vulnerable people in the community is a great thing to be part of. Staff members are friendly and kind.
The challenges
In hindsight the recruitment process was inadequate for position. Onboarding experience was slow and difficult to navigate when expectations to perform from the get go were exceedingly high. Complex working environment without sufficient employee support by management and/or staff numbers to manage and achieve desired outcomes. Miscommunication by management.

Would advise people to avoid.

The good things
I loved the people I worked with when I started and I learnt so much from them.
The challenges
The management don't listen to staff at all. Almost impossible to have any career progression. High staff turn over.

I have never felt more like I was just a number.

The good things
The beginning was great. I had planned to work here forever. Front line staff are genuinely good people and a joy to work with.
The challenges
Changes in management led to change in direction and overall vibe - and not for the better. I felt like I was micromanaged into dust and then swept up and thrown out.

The salary is good and the fact you can salary sacrifice.
