Look elsewhere.

The good things
The brand is the only thing holding Myer together.
The challenges
Not a safe environment . Staff treat newbies however they want . Management were weak. No teamwork just everyone working mindlessly on their own . Customers were wanting constant discounts . Management not on the floor enough.

One of the best learning experiences!

The good things
God place to work and good team to work together.
The challenges
As it is one of the largest retail stores in Australia, you are expected to provide customer service out of 10

Amazing place to work, coworkers feel like family.

The good things
Amazing staff, so friendly and always feels like a family. Most of management is amazing, and eager to help. Get to learn about new products. Team discount. Different things to do every time you are there. Constant feedback and opportunity for growth. Flexible hours.
The challenges
Store is sometimes unclean especially in places where customers can't see. Difficult customers. Some of the technology is difficult to work with, in particular the 'My Customer Orders' system.

It's ok for a student starting out.

The good things
A decent casual job for a student. I made friends with other frontline staff. Kept me on my feet instead of at a desk.
The challenges
I worked at the company when it was going through a very rough patch. Management were rather negative; nothing the workers did was ever considered good enough. Some clients were toxic. I felt like the job contributed nothing to the world.

A positive workspace with great staff, amazing discounts, and very nice customers.

The good things
I love the people I work with and the positive customer environment.
The challenges
Some things I don't know how to do (like ordering items online) and I think more training in place would be good.

Store Support

Constantly pushed to breaking point due to lack of support.

The good things
The team members are in general good to work with.
The challenges
There is no support from the store management or upper management. Budgets are consistently cut even when further staff are required for the volume of product increase due to sales. No career advancement unless you do no nothing but play the internal politics 24/7.

Expect your shift to end up being cancelled!

The good things
The other people who you worked with.
The challenges
Being rostered for shifts that would then get cancelled sometimes as late as the day your shift was scheduled.

Constant management changes with difference policies.
