Fastpaced and consistently understaffed with micro managed processes.

The good things
Leave benefits such as wellbeing leave, flexi days on top of annual leave are great. Hybrid working also good.
The challenges
QBE is consistently run with lower staff than required. Executives really need to reassess the budget for staffing which will help provide better service to customers, less staff turnover and better wellbeing for all.

Great team dynamic and amazing manager and team leader. Have never had a negative experience with the role or my team or its leaders.

The good things
Great team dynamic and very flexible feel with working from home.
The challenges
Learning old claim systems, but this is easy to overcome with time and regular exposure.

Stay Away from this place!

The good things
None really! The option to take longer or shorter breaks
The challenges
As much as the work is pressurising with no management support, the people and culture is toxic! No wonder they keep advertising for the same roles regularly, because everyone leaves

Although I was super excited to get a start here unfortunately I had a horrible time working for qbe. The training is minimal and the expectations for trainees are high. I wouldn't waste my time applying. Especially within the heavy haulage space.

The good things
The salary is nice, the office is amazing and you may have some amazing team members.
The challenges
The systems are horrible and so slow, and always seem to have faults. As well as this the management skills are lacking and need a big boost.

Positive work environment, modern offices, progressive Leadership team, generous bonuses!

The good things
Lots of positive changes implemented over the last 12 months around hiring practices and career development. Goals and targets are realistic and achievable and Management team are supportive. Hybrid working model enables great work life balance and flexibility to work from home or office.
The challenges
Like all big companies structural changes and alignments seem to happen pretty regularly, which unfortunately sometimes result in good people being made redundant. Some Managers very set in their ways and not always open to suggestion.
