It's ok and somewhat stable. IMO learn what you can and move on when there's better opportunities.

The good things
Work life balance is ok but can get hectic at times due to deadlines. Some tribes have good managers who understand what they're doing and the culture is relatively non-toxic.
The challenges
The C-staff are very much focused on financials and cost cutting. The company talks a lot about volunteering and giving back to the community but rarely sponsors corporate volunteering.

Great working environment but slow to get meaningful things done

The good things
Wonderful people and culture at REA. The best I've seen in terms of investment in its people. The perks are wonderful as well with the opportunity to travel and lots of internal events. Good teams for research, and insights as well.
The challenges
REA is spread thin working on lots of ideas that have potential but aren't really moving the dial on the important ones. They're very money-focused and looking to incrementally squeeze more out of what they have instead of making a more significant impact in the market.

Just an awesome environment and amazing colleagues.

The good things
Great culture, the team we had was amazing.
The challenges
It all changed in late 2009 when new senior management was appointed, not the same culture and it just eventually died.

My experience in REA was great in terms of people and culture except for the hardship I had to go through in terms of career growth even though I was a high achiever.

The good things
Culture, people, work-life balance
The challenges
Management, career growth

Have to be dedicated, it becomes a lifestyle

The good things
Always meeting new agents and moving territories.
The challenges
Moving territories when you have worked particular clients to increase their spend and then they are taken from you for someone else to reap the rewards

The glory years are now well past this listings business.

The good things
Too many of the good things have been eroded away by poor management decisions
The challenges
The last years have seen News Corp influence affect the direction of this company. Executives seem to be under someone's thumb and middle management are hired to only tow the line. Have an aweful habit of making new mothers redundant while they are in paternity leave.
