Great place to work!

The good things
The culture! This may sound cliche however the people are welcoming, inclusive & fun! We are encouraged to maintain a great work/life balance. We are all working for the net benefit of Australia, not everyone can say that.
The challenges
Learning about standardisation, is complex but very interesting learning about the process and the thousands of volunteers that are involved.

Learning about what SA do and all the elements to the organisation. No two days are the same, which is challenging and keeps you on your toes!

The good things
Great culture, flexible work environment, no micro management, everyone seems to give instant trust. Flat structure and everyone is happy to have a chat about work or outside work. Have loved my first few months here.
The challenges
Learning the ins and outs of standards Australia, you do receive fantastic onsite learning and development

Disappointing and soul-sapping, but highly beneficial from a learning perspective of what not to do as an organisation.

Diversity of travel and experiences
The challenges
Non flexible low paying workplace centred around old, rigid management practices.

a good place for some to work if you are liked by management, but a dead end and disappointing place to work if you're not

The good things
lovely colleagues, good social events,
The challenges
management focused on favouritism, tedious work, and refusal on part of management to offer opportunity for professional development and to recognize enthusiasm and keenness to contribute

Fun and made lifelong friends but the work is

The good things
People you work and become friends with. Relaxing environment
The challenges
Management promotions based on who senior managers like over qualifications and ability. The area of work is very dry therefore it can be hard to motivate yourself
