The best adventure I've ever had and filled with purpose.

The good things

Ted Noffs Foundation is both incredibly challenging and rewarding. It's a workplace that makes a big difference in the life of young people with drug problems and problems with youth crime. So it's of course going to be a challenge but you go home every night knowing what your purpose is. You're intrinsically motivated to change lives.

The challenges

The work with young people can be really full on. Obviously, they have a lot of complex needs but that's why you're there. Somedays can be tougher than others but the challenge is to keep yourself in balance too.

Working at Noffs has been a truely fun experience that has allowed me to be challenged, to learn and grow.

The good things

Great people to work with, Great working environment. Supportive management. Get to do lots of different things and strong opportunities to learn and grow. Supportive learning environment with supervision and training.

The challenges

Roles are diverse and busy and therefor requires a high level of time management and autonomy. Management are too busy but are approachable if you contact them or ask for support.

Great Experience

The good things

I love working here, there is so much opportunity to grow and learn. Having to work with young people has been such a learning curve and having such a huge impact on their lives is fufilling.

The challenges

Challenges have been working on self-care, the work can be very overwhelming. In saying that overcoming the challenges are manageable with the supportive network and also external resources and support.

I love this Job, it is rewarding when you work with people that share the same Values as yourself.

The good things

I love what this Foundation has been able to provide to the leaders of tomorrow and the improvement statistics that Adolescents are receiving in PALM. Ted Noffs Foundation really does have a well-structured support service that vulnerable youth and Workers find equally gratifying. I think they are up to some really good projects and have great workers on board sharing the same Values Hope for Vulnerable Youth in Australia on a diverse capacity.

Waiting lists and Community Services having large waiting lists.

From day one, Ted Noffs was an amazing organisation to be a part of.

The good things

The entire team and management was amazing. It was a real joy working with Ted Noffs Organisation and I hope to return one day

The challenges

Not a lot of professional feedback to help develop casework skills, but management was otherwise 10/10

Dynamic, adaptive, and resilient. Caring whilst also respecting personal boundaries.

The good things

Working within a small team with international background, it is always interesting to share different perspective and opinions. The Management and the team have always been very supportive especially during the COVID-19 pandemic last year when we all had to adjust with a new way of work.

The challenges

As part of the admin team there is little to no chance to work directly with the young people, however it is also rewarding to provide support to the team.

The young people, some staff and management were great to work with.

The good things

Working with PALM, CALM & YHS. Working with a dedicated bunch of staff, amazing young people. No one day was ever the same. Management was really supportive and always went the extra mile to support the team.

The challenges

Working with other staff that probably shouldn't have been working there - complained too much about middle and senior management, these same people had no real industry experience & knowledge about local services but thought they knew everything. In the end, they complained, stirred up a hornet's nest then left anyway. They made it a toxic environment to try and work in.
