Civil Engineer

The Company

Milanovic Neale Consulting Engineers is a progressive, mid-sized structural and civil engineering consultancy based in Brisbane and Ipswich. Our growing multi-disciplinary firm offers a complete package of civil, structural and traffic engineering services to a diverse client base representing a broad range of industry sectors.

Our North Ipswich office requires a motivated civil engineer to join our team.

The Role

The role requires a passion for civil engineering and an interest in working on a variety of challenging and diverse projects. As an active member of the civil design team you will be responsible for:

  • Design and delivery of civil documentation for a wide range of project types including residential, commercial, industrial, health and education projects.
  • Utilising your knowledge of municipal services design, stormwater management, roadworks and earthworks design principals to contribute to the civil design process.
  • Working as part of a team with minimal supervision and with an engineer's brief to produce design and documentation of a high standard to Company and industry standards.
  • Communicating with team members and other consultants in a clear, confident and proactive manner.
  • Managing assigned tasks and projects within time and budget expectations.
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships, integrity and accountability with all staff, and other stakeholders.

Key Criteria

To be considered for the role applicants would need to demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer. Additional experience will be considered favourably.
  • Good general computer and IT skills, and competent in the use of AutoCAD, PC-Drain (or similar). Experience in 12D and other design packages is not essential but will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in the design of a variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects, and a strong knowledge of relevant standards and codes.
  • Experience with civil engineering construction process including contract, tender and specification documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills and be committed to assisting your team to deliver time sensitive jobs with a result under pressure.
  • A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and proven ability to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • The ability to work independently with minimum supervision, multitask and prioritise workloads.
  • The ideal candidate will have or be willing to work towards CPEng and/or RPEQ certification
