The opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Operations Manager to work closely with our Managing Director to manage and lead operations nationally. This is a critical leadership position with a high level of responsibility to oversee and manage all aspects of Employment Service Areas (ESAs).

 

To be successful you will demonstrate the ability to design, implement and improve performance, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved for our participants and organisational objectives are met. You have experience in developing successful community and other stakeholder relationships, and proven success motivating teams.

 

Essential skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Social Welfare, Psychology, Community Services and/or equivalent experience in service delivery in the disability field 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Human Resources Management or related field (desirable)
  • Experience in working with people with disability and associated community stakeholders
  • Ability to design and implement service improvement strategies and methodologies
  • Leadership and management experience including staff supervision and performance management and financial budgeting and management skills
  • Well-developed planning, consultation and negotiation skills and a demonstrated capacity to communicate policy, procedure and service direction 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity, Ethical Practice, Cultural Diversity Statement and Occupational Health and Safety.
