Technical Consultant - Application Security - SSA - NV1/NV2

Leading provider of security solutions requires a Technical Consultant from the apps security space to work on a number of client sites.

Please note: Australian Government NV1 / NV2 is required for this role.

 Our client is a market leader in the fast-growing area of Software Security Assurance (SSA). 

This is an opportunity to work in the Application Security Center team to help customers build, manage, and deploy applications more securely across the entire application lifecycle.
 The responsibilities of a Software Security Consultant are broad and may vary depending on your level of experience and skills. This role is best suited to a candidate from a software development background.

Responsibilities include:
• Scanning customer source code, auditing results with development and/or security teams and offering plans for remediation of vulnerabilities
• Installing and configuring SSA products onsite for customers
• Communicating technical application security concepts to customer staff, including developers, architects, and managers.
• Training customer staff on application security and SSA products.
• Assessing and scoping of customer's application security needs
• Contributing to project planning and project deliverables
• Customizing the implementation of SSA production and test products
• Collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to enhance products
• Representing SSA technical, business, and professional values to customers, partners, and peers.

Technical requirements:
• 3+ years’ experience in software or security consulting
• 3+ years’ experience in software development using Java, Microsoft .NET, or C/C++
• Experience using build tools (e.g. ant, make, maven, msbuild, nant, etc.)
• Experience in developing and/or deploying Web applications
