Health Centre Manager (School Nurse)

At present, we are inviting applications for a Permanent Part Time Health Centre Manager to join the close-knit team of friendly staff based at our iconic campus with stunning views over Sydney Harbour.   

 

The role:

  • Health Centre Manager (School Nurse)
  • Permanent Part Time – Term Time only; no shift work.
  • 0.8 FTE / 4 days per week (TBC)
  • Some on-call work required (TBC)
  • Preferred commencement Term 2, 2018 (30 April)
  • Responsible for delivering Nursing and Wellbeing services to day and boarding students across K-12
  • Manage the efficient operation of the School Health Centre
  • Act in a leadership capacity to other Nursing staff
  • Input and management of health-related student data into School systems
  • Develop and promote health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Reports to the Deputy Principal and the Director of Boarding

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Prepared to commit to the goals of a Sacred Heart education
  • In possession of a valid Working with Children (WWC) number
  • Appropriately qualified, including First Aid & CPR (Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management quals would be a bonus)
  • Demonstrated Nursing experience in a School environment
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience
  • Demonstrated operational management experience (low level)
  • Shows initiative and a proactive approach to work
  • Comfortable with IT systems including databases
  • Positive demeanour with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A genuine care and interest in student welfare
