My Supports is a national NDIS disability service provider founded and led by people with a disability. My Supports provides supports to almost 1,000 clients across Australia. 

We are a peer-led provider and are committed to making a difference to the lives of clients while ensuring our values are strong; over 20% of our employees have a disability and 30% have lived experience.We deliver individualised support through our Neighbourhood Teams, bringing local knowledge and connections.  

My Supports is looking for 12 Neighbourhood Team Coordinators in the following NSW metro regions and towns:

Metro regions

  • Northern Sydney

  • Western Sydney*

  • Sydney

  • South Eastern Sydney

  • South West Sydney*

  • Penrith

Regional towns

  • Albury

  • Bathurst*

  • Gosford

  • Newcastle

  • Wollongong

*In Western Sydney, South West Sydney and Bathurst, My Supports would especially encourage applicants from culturally and linguistic diverse backgrounds to apply.

Each coordinator will be employed on a full time basis, working 38 hours per week. 

My Supports operates in Neighbourhood Teams, so please do not apply if you do not reside in above regions.

About the role

Coordinators are required to perform the following main tasks:

Clients Tasks

  • New Clients- Meeting potential new clients and discussing both My Supports and the NDIS.

  • Existing Clients- Responsible for an overall positive relationship

  • Administration of client files and all required documentation.

  • Recording evidence and reporting on NDIA goal progress

  • Completing evidence based reports

  • Managing actions requested by clients

 

Support Worker Tasks

  • Matching support workers with clients

  • Providing ongoing support to new support workers once employed by Head Office.

  • Conducting quarterly team meetings.

  • Coordinators are responsible for managing their local teams.

Please note that these are general duties only, and coordinators will be trained within their role. 

 

Skills and Experience

Selection Criteria:

  • A high level of competency in the English language and communication skills are required.

  • Permanent residency in Australia and full working rights are essential.

  • Computer skills and a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent time management and organisation skills

  • A full C Class License and reliable vehicle are essential.

  • A National Police Clearance and Working with Children's Check will be required if successful.

  • Certificates in Aged or Disability Care would be looked at favourably.

  • Previous experience in the disability or community sector is desirable

Benefits and Perks

My Supports operates as a close-knit team, and therefore work will be conducted within the candidate's local area. Work conditions are flexible and employees will work from home and within their local community. Working hours are also flexible, and can be arranged to suit the work-life requirements of the applicant. However, the applicant must ensure to work their 38-hour load. 

The pay rate for these roles begins at $28.51-$32.98 per hour depending on experience. On achieving targets My Supports pays up to $34.71-$36.83 per hour.

All employees are entitled to 9.5% superannuation, plus Award level sick and annual leave. Additionally, a fuel allowance will be paid per fortnight, and you will be provided with a work phone.
