About the business and the role

diggiddydoggydaycare is Australia's multi-award winning indoor dog daycare centre. The centre manages dog activities, exercise programs, grooming, functions and retail.  The centre has been successfully trading since mid 2007 under the founding owner's management.

As the Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage an elite team and develop amazing relationships with clients whilst building an outstanding learning environment for our doggy clients.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage Operations of the business sectors comprising daycare, grooming, retail, training, function hire and taxi.
  • Client liaison & service management
  • Stock management (including and not limited to retail stock, operational stock for both grooming & daycare, first aid, stationery, kitchen supplies, etc.)
  • Staff roster management & time sheet processing on Xero
  • Staff management including recruitment, development & mentoring and appraisals
  • Meet financial key performance indicators for the Centre
  • Manage smooth running of the business
  • Maximise occupancy by preplanning and managing yield

    • Strong leadership skills and exposure to people management
    • Business management skills including the responsibility of managing the profit and loss outcomes
    • Effective time management, resource planning and general operations experience to lead and drive the business strategy and planning activities
    • Proven experience in delivering an exceptional customer experience
    • Has built a reputation for effective and timely delivery and making things happen
    • Demonstrated commitment to, and practice of, leadership driven culture and building collaborative working environments
    • Proven ability to set clearly defined objectives and measures to drive business outcomes and meet service level agreements
