Facilitator, Men's Behaviour Change Program

Link HC is a vibrant and fast-growing service providing a range of high quality community health and support programs including Dental Clinics, Medical practice, Allied Health and Counselling services.

Link HC’s Men’s Behavioural Change program is, co-facilitated with the No to Violence (NTV) and Family Safety Victoria (FSV) standards, aimed to engage with male clients to change violent behaviour.

The applicant will require skills and experience to develop and facilitate the Men’s Behaviour Change program for men who have used violence against their partners and/or children, this will include working within a risk assessment framework and ensuring practice guidelines are met.  Together with your exceptional interpersonal communication skills and working within an integrated multidisciplinary team, you will have the capacity to create engaging relationships with the client group, other facilitators and stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

As a professional in your field you will have;

  • A minimum Level 1 NTV qualification (preferred) or a suitable qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Mental Health or related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Family Violence and a behavioural change process.
  • Experience and ability to work with a challenging and complex client group including those from diverse backgrounds and CALD populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally competent, sensitive and respectful manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competency using data management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A language other than English is desirable but not preferred

The successful applicant will be required to meet compliance standards and undergo a National Police Check.
