About the business

Mission Travel exists to help broaden God's Kingdom and facilitate the global movement of His people with a heart to serve those who are poor, persecuted, refugees and those in need. Mission Travel also helps people deepen their personal Christian faith through tours of Biblical significance, conferences and events.

About the role

Key functions and tasks include:
• Champion our values and behaviours of Responsiveness, Respect, Honesty, Care and Faith – reflecting Christian values is essential in dealing with our clients.
• Ideally, you have travelled extensively through the Middle East and Europe, and you can speak authentically of your experiences. Our clients travel to grow in their faith and the tours are often a once in a lifetime experience.
• Possess strong administration, time management, and problem-solving skills – tours are very deadline oriented and administratively demanding work.
• Be a team player – each team works collaboratively to service our clients and streamline processes.
• Give attention to detail – a good eye for detail as well as the ability to process quickly is key.
• Be a fast learner – the travel industry changes almost daily and the areas our clients travel to can be volatile!
• Confirming bookings in our reservations systems (Amadeus, Tramada) or with airline groups departments or online portals
• Liaison with on-ground operators to confirm itinerary booking details and prices
• Manage client accounts and supplier payment for the tours you are managing
• Managing work priorities to ensure that all clients are receiving

We are currently transitioning and developing into some new areas within the tour operation to include retreats, workshops and conferences with a 'Christian Faith' element and theme supported by a facilitator/speaker.

Skills and experience

As the ideal candidate you will have:
• Excellent communication; written and verbal
• Thorough understanding of the Christian faith and the relevant destinations
• Well-developed computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office
• Amadeus/Tramada experience would be advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail
• A passion for providing efficient top-quality customer service
• Previous experience as a tours consultant or events coordinator
•  Well travelled internationally - particularly Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Spain
