About Paxton Wines 

Established in 1979, over the last four decades, Paxton has nurtured and developed their family estate vineyards in the world-renowned wine growing region of McLaren Vale in South Australia. The Paxton Wines estate is family owned and consists of seven vineyards across 200 acres, all in McLaren Vale.  The Paxton Wines selection consistently scores above 90pts in all international publications including James Halliday’s Wine Companion, Decanter, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine & Spirits Magazine and more.  

Role Overview 

The Sales Support Officer offers an exciting opportunity for a highly organised individual to provide administrational support to the Paxton Sales and Management Team. To be successful you will demonstrate exceptional all-round administrative skills to increase day to day efficiencies of the domestic, international and Direct to Consumer markets.  Your can-do and proactive attitude towards your work will ensure ongoing success to this business-critical team.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Maintain the wine club database, company website and social media accounts 
  • Coordinate sample and information distribution to all markets and media  
  • Manage market visits and the Trade Events Calendar 
  • Maintain current tasting notes, bottle shots and label images 
  • Entry of national & international wine shows as directed 
  • File management, collection and distribution of all relevant press and media materials  
  • Liaise with external partners as required 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience  

  • Wine industry knowledge and Direct to Consumer experience will be looked upon favourably  
  • Technical experience with Microsoft Office, Design software such as Photoshop and illustrator, eDm software (Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor), POS and eCommerce software and social media management 
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail  
  • Copy writing, and light design skills will be advantageous  
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with a customer-centric and proactive approach  
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and to multitask
