About Bitu-mill

Building on years of success and strong client relationships, our family orientated business continues its expansion in all aspects of the business and as such we require an Administration Officer to join the Bitu-mill team.  

The Allocations Officer position is a newly created role within the Queensland  division.  The role has been created in light of the division’s recent growth.  As such, the role will require the successful candidate to initially put in place systems and procedures to create greater cohesion between the division’s local management and operating teams and the centralised support personnel who are located in the head office in Victoria. 

The role requires a high level of liaison and coordination between internal and external stakeholders in order to effectively perform their role.  Organisational skills and an ability to rearrange priorities are a major asset for this position.

Responsibilities & Duties within your role

Successful Allocations Officer is to demonstrate capability to:

  • Assisting in programming daily work orders
  • Allocate resources, plant, operators, float and subcontractors
  • Create job sheets in the iPad app
  • Check IPAD job sheets for accuracy daily.
  • Assist with collating all IPAD job sheets, worksheets and subcontractor dockets
  • Assist with the preparation of the Bitu-mill Profiling QLD payroll weekly spread sheets
  • Maintain and update electronic machine schedule
  • General assistance for the operations manager

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements of Candidates

  • Minimum 2 years previous exposure and experience in a similar role with Road Construction Industry
  • Deliver high quality work, while adhering to timelines;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
