National Account Manager - Retail

The Company

We are a large, successful beverage organisation with a strategic focus on building our exclusive brand portfolio within the domestic and international markets. As such, we are seeking an energetic National Account Manager to develop strategies designed to increase brand visibility and market share within our retail sector of National Accounts and Banners.   

The role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the end to end planning process of strategic initiatives designed to increase brand visibility and grow market share.  You will be confident in negotiating terms with key customers, capable of introducing new lines and brand deployment, and able to implement promotional plans designed to increase sales.

Duties

  • Develop sales strategies and plans; coordinate marketing strategies and promotional plans with National Key Accounts
  • Develop and maintain strategic business relationships
  • Creation and execution of business and category reviews, including short and long-term forecasting
  • Regularly review and report on sales performance
  • Negotiation of trading terms

To be successful applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in an Account Management role
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to plan, communicate and negotiate
  • Demonstrated experience achieving sales quotas
  • Knowledge and experience in budgeting processes
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in the drinks/beverage/liquor industry
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Experience using a CRM
