Sales Estimator/ Project Administrator

Australian Lining Company Pty Ltd is a long standing Townsville based company specializing in supplying & installing Geomembranes, Geotextiles & other Geosynthetic products for environmental protection & containment for a wide array of industries.

We have a vacancy for a full time, enthusiastic Sales Estimator/Project Administrator to join our team. Successful applicant will be placed in a side by side role over approx. 6 months to gain product knowledge of our specialist industry.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Analyzing and interpreting plans and completing take offs.

  • Analyzing & reviewing specifications.

  • Obtaining quotes off suppliers, processing purchase orders, checking & processing of invoices.

  • Preparation & submission of tenders & detailed quotations.

  • Submitting progress claims & invoices.

  • Liaising with customers, suppliers & internal team.

  • Preparing job information & site documents for site supervisor including assisting with WHS docs, scope of works, QA plans, ITP’s etc.

  • Working closely with, assisting & supporting Senior management as well as site supervisors & technicians.

  • Collation, completion & submission of project QA documentation & other project administration ad hoc duties (can include some occasional site visits).

  • Selling of Geosynthetic materials, processing sales & monitoring stock.

  • Calculation of job P&L’s & other administration duties.
    Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in estimating and project administration (experience in/ exposure to civil construction desirable).

  • Very strong attention to detail & analytical abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good administration and organizational skills.

  • A team player willing to assist & support others.

  • A positive can do attitude with enthusiasm to learn more & take on more responsibility.

  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite.

  • Ability to prioritize however also be flexible & adaptable to change.

  • Some experience with Microsoft Project and basic AutoCAD preferred

  • QuickBooks or MYOB experience preferred.

  • Manual Drivers license essential.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
