About the program

Wesley Dalmar is a leading out of home care agency in NSW.  We have a proud history of caring for children, young people and their families since 1893. 

Both roles will work closely with Operations Managers – Sydney Placements to ensure that Wesley Dalmar continues to provide seamless service delivery to foster carers and children in their program

 

About the role

The successful applicant will enjoy challenging and rewarding opportunities to work with children, birth parents and foster carers, as well as involvement in the recruitment, assessment and training of new carers.

Wesley Mission provides regular supervision and support for all staff as well as range of opportunities for professional development and staff benefits. This is a child-related position and preferred applicants will be required to undergo a working with children’s check and criminal record history check.

 

Essential criteria

  • degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related discipline
  • flexible working hours including some evenings and weekends
  • current unrestricted drivers licence
  • demonstrated ability to write reports to a professional standard
  • experience in Out of Home Care

 

Desirable criteria

  • previous employment with children and families
  • previous supervisory experience

 

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 6, with capacity for salary packaging and the provision of a fully maintained motor vehicle available for private use. Superannuation is paid in addition at 9.5%.
