JOB SUMMARY:

An energetic and enthusiastic full time property lawyer. You will be admitted to practice as a Lawyer in Queensland with a focus on property transaction work.

MKP Property Lawyers is a boutique property law firm that runs in parallel to JHK Legal Australia Pty Ltd. MKP Property Lawyers provides legal property services to commercial businesses, individual property vendors / buyers, property developers, buyers agents and JHK Legal clients throughout Australia. Such legal property services include conveyancing, preparing various option deeds and other commercial property deeds and agreements on property developments, lease drafting and advice work.

MKP Property Lawyers acts for a wide range of clients from individuals to businesses of all sizes and industries. The MKP Property Lawyers team is driven by their energy, determination and excellence.

MKP Property Lawyers requires an energetic and enthusiastic full time property lawyer for its Sunshine Coast office in Maroochydore.

In terms of legal work, the successful candidate will need to be ready to ‘hit the ground running’ and have preferably at least 2 - 3 years’ experience as a property lawyer. You will have sound knowledge of residential and commercial property law and will be able to run files autonomously and in compliance with the QLS Conveyancing Protocol. Having the ability to undertake property transactions work across Australia would be advantageous. You will also be responsible for managing the Conveyancing Team based in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast offices.

As a minimum your skills will include:

  • Residential and Commercial Conveyancing;
  • Land Divisions and Property Development Law;
  • Retail Shop and Commercial Leases;
  • Body Corporate Law; and
  • Local Government and Policy Law.

Applicants should:

  • Provide positive support to team members and be an enthusiastic team player;
  • Be an independent self-starter requiring minimal supervision;
  • Be confident and an excellent communicator - verbally and in writing;
  • Be aligned with the firm’s values of loyalty, professionalism, practising the law in an ethical manner, embracing change, being committed to the client and joining in firm as well as client functions; and
  • Be both approachable and able to promptly provide the thoughtful, commercially-driven advice that MKP Conveyancing clients are used to and now require.
