Town Planner

ABOUT MACROPLAN:

MacroPlan is a multi-disciplinary property consultancy offering a range of services in economics, planning, market research and project management. Established in 1985, MacroPlan has grown to be one of the largest and most respected property advisors, with offices around the country in every premier CBD location.  

An opportunity is currently available in our Brisbane office for a Town Planner where applicants will:

  • Undertake project research and delivery in a small team environment;
  • Operate in an integrated economics and planning environment;
  • Coordinate and deliver planning advisory/due diligence reports, planning proposal justifications and DA reports; 
  • Assist in the project management of a vast array of projects, including urban development, energy projects, and master planned communities; and
  • Grow and develop client relationships.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

Applicants for this role will have:

  • A degree in Town Planning or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 2 – 3 years’ practical experience and demonstrated skills in town planning;
  • A strong understanding of Queensland’s planning regulatory framework, with an understanding of associated environmental planning legislation is preferable;
  • Excellent analytical, report writing, communication and organisational skills;
  • Demonstrated market knowledge and the ability to contribute positively to development outcomes;
  • Experience using MapInfo and GIS analytics (would be highly regarded but not essential); and
  • A dynamic, flexible attitude to working in a multi-disciplinary consultancy team.
