At Penguin Random House Australia, we strive to be the best home for our authors and people, the most service oriented partner for our customers and to put readers at the centre of everything we do.

We have an opportunity for a passionate and creative Project Manager to join the Strategy and Projects team. You will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion and will ideally have a sound understanding of IT systems and infrastructure. You will interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders and deliver business-orientated outcomes on time, within scope and on budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading project planning sessions
  • Coordinating staff and internal resources
  • Controlling project budget spend
  • Delivering detailed progress reports and conducting project reviews
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Managing relationships with external stakeholders
  • Continuously optimising and improving processes

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of IT systems and concepts. You will be a big picture thinker with an ability to see where projects fit within the IT landscape and how projects will assist the business in achieving its objectives.

You will have a tertiary qualification in IT or Business and have demonstrated experience in project/resource planning and metrics reporting. You will have a highly structured mindset, driven by an eye for detail and quality, and will have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. A project management certification such as PMBOK or Prince 2 is highly desired but not essential.

If you are interested in this role, we invite you to apply now. All applications must include a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.

Please note, due to the high volume of applications only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
