ICT Supervisor and Trainer/Assessor (P/time may lead to F/time with Projects)

St Michaels Association Inc. is a not for profit organisation that has been providing support and accommodation services to Tasmanians living with an intellectual and or physical disability for over 50 years.

We are looking for suitably qualified, dynamic and energetic operator that can work directly with our team in providing exceptional ICT Supervision and Training.

KEY TASKS AND DUTIES

Work directly with our external IT provider to ensure that the system is safe and secure from the outside world.

Work with CSM on any projects that can make the organisation function more efficiently via the use of technology

Work with the Training and Learning Development Manager to tender for suitable internal training programs and deliver and assess subsequent successful bids as directed.

  • In consultation with the Corporate Services Manager identify and develop appropriate strategies to help with the implementation and maintaining of the appropriate level of IT within the organisation.
  • Implement and maintain an IT Support Register to track and prioritize IT related tasks.
  • Oversee and update ST Michael's Association Facebook page.
  • Assist with the update procedure of Vettrak.
  • Monitor St Michaels Association's webpage and update as directed.
  • Maintain and upgrade Assets Management Software as needed. (Snipe-it)
  • Assist participants with ICT related activities as directed.
  • Investigate and explore new technologies as they become available that relate to St Michaels network infrastructure is a view to continually improving services quality and cost savings.
  • Monitor St Michaels network infrastructure for possible exploits. Regularly conduct penetration testing of St Michaels networks to ensure best practice procedures are adhered to concerning network security.
  • Support Staff with ICT related tasks as required in a respectful manner.
  • Remove any staff member that has left the organisation from the network
  • Continuously develops the competencies of both self and others
  • Supporting the training and development of all internal students, staff and trainees through the ICT training package and successful Skills Fund and User choice trainees.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hold an appropriate level of Information. Communications and  Technology qualification.
  • Demonstrate level of experience in the ICT sector.
  • Hold or willing to complete the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
