VenuesLive Management Services (NSW) Pty Ltd (VenuesLive) proudly manages ANZ Stadium, Australia's premier sports and entertainment venue with an annual patronage in excess of 1.3 million people.  ANZ Stadium hosts major events including the NRL Grand Final, State of Origin, Bledisloe Cup, concerts and music festivals as well as many other national and international sporting and entertainment events. VenuesLive also provides catering services to various venues and events throughout New South Wales, including the Sydney metropolitan area and Wollongong.

To be successful in the position of Electrician at ANZ Stadium, you must have previous experience in the building maintenance industry and a thorough understanding of the requirements of maintaining significant electrical infrastructure.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Coordinate and manage all preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs for all works relating to lighting, general power supply, generators and their related control systems and other electrical assets.
  • Coordinate all sub contractors engaged to perform maintenance works in relation to electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure the building is ready for events and functions and assist in the delivery of special event requirements, including attendance at events as required.
  • Carry out inspections and report on the emergency lighting system, cabling and other assets according to the Australian Standards, local authority requirements, safety requirements and manufacturers recommendations.
  • Assist with repairs to all electrical related catering equipment as required.
  • Coordinate and carry out minor capital works as required.
  • Implement, comply with and monitor WH&S requirements and conduct site safety inductions for sub contractors as required.
  • Keep abreast of changes to legislation, regulations, codes of practice and Australian Standards that are applicable electrical systems and equipment.
  • Manage stock of spare parts, tools and equipment relating to electrical services.
  • Assist in managing the annual budget for electrical and related services.
  • Act as a member of ANZ Stadium's Emergency Management Organisation (EMO) – Response Team.
  • Support and assist other members of the Asset Management team as required.

The key skills are attributes required are:

  • Trade qualifications - Licensed Electrician.
  • Competency in Windows including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision.
  • High level of people skills and ability to work with people of all levels and backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of requests including requests outside of nominated trade.
  • Knowledge of Building Management and C-Bus lighting systems.
  • Knowledge of computerised emergency lighting systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical services.
  • Experience in supervising sub contractors.
  • High level of fault finding and diagnostic skills.

In addition to the above criteria, attention to detail, enthusiasm, ability to work as part of a team, high levels of energy, willingness to work flexible hours in line with the requirements of ANZ Stadium's event schedule (which includes evening and weekend work) and a positive 'can do' attitude, is what is required to successfully undertake this position.
