Communications Manager

Talentpath is excited to be partnering with an emerging mining business, headquartered in Brisbane and listed on the ASX.  This business prides themselves on their ability to build and sustain strong working relationships and ensure environmentally responsible mining operations in the Pacific Islands.

With recent business success and expansion, my client is looking for an experienced, considered, strategic communications manager to join their management team based in Brisbane.  Reporting to the CEO your key focus will be to develop and maintain the positive positioning of the company’s corporate image and reputation.  As Communications Manager you will focus on three key areas which include external relations, brand marketing, and internal communications.  This will involve developing a strategic communications plan as well as liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally on all key messaging and corporate affair issues.  With significant holdings in the Pacific Rim liaising effectively with industry groups, local governments, and company representatives will be imperative for the success of this role.

This is an exciting opportunity where no two days will be the same.  You will enjoy working in a small, fast-moving and dynamic team where you are able to think strategically and provide advice/recommendations to the senior leadership team.  While also developing and writing press releases as well as stakeholder documents and briefing material.  You will work alongside local representatives and the leadership team to deliver key messages to both local and international commodities and capital markets.   This is an opportunity to shape the direction of the communications role for the business as they continue to grow and deliver exciting projects internationally.

What we're looking for;
We are looking for an experienced, professional Communications Manager who has had experience working within a multi-layered business in the past.  You would have provided key advice and guidance to management on issues relating to international business activities including demonstrated success ensuring local stakeholders were informed and engaged to ensure company objectives where met.   In an ever-changing political landscape, experience dealing with Federal Government and political groups will be a necessity.

This role is well suited to a tenacious, resilient, thoughtful and creative professional. Your high attention to detail is considered your strength and above all, you love a challenge and enjoy seeing the direct impact your work has on the business.  You will also be working with outcomes-focused professionals who are committed and go above and beyond to deliver on a project.  Domestic and International travel is a non-negotiable component of this position.

If this sounds like the perfect next move for you we would love to hear from you! Please email me at prudence@talentpath.com.au OR hit ‘apply now’. If it’s not right for you now but you know someone who would love it, please steer them our way!
