Engineering and Maintenance Manager

Geofabrics is Australasia's geosynthetic specialist with the largest regional footprint of any geosynthetic supplier in Australasia. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Engineering and Maintenance Manager who will make a difference to our business and our customers by:

  • Leading by example, promoting a "safety first" culture and complying  with all relevant legislative and compliance requirements
  • Continually developing the maintenance team, embracing continuous improvement and preventative maintenance programs
  • Promoting and driving effective and efficient communications resulting in superior outcomes within and between the engineering and manufacturing functions specifically and other departments as required from time to time
  • Maintaining and fostering communications between the Ormeau and Albury facilities to ensure a degree of multiskilling as appropriate
  • Owning, managing and developing the maintenance budget and CAPEX programs to ensure that the facility continues to grow in line with business objectives
  • Developing proposals for systems and process improvements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ideally you will have lead or co-ordinated a multi-disciplinary team including contractors and other allied services.
  • The desk is the last place you want to be, rather you are someone who has an affinity for machinery and notwithstanding your management role, you are comfortable getting your hands dirty as and when appropriate.
  • You enjoy autonomy and thrive on developing a rapport with your peers to ensure world class outcomes.
  • Has superior communication skills that compliment a senior role like this one.
  • Understand the complexities of a facility that typically operates 20hrs per day 4 or 5 days per week.
