Myriota is a satellite communications company specialising in ultra low cost remote Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity. Recognised as a global leader in satellite IoT, Myriota recently closed a $20m Series A funding round with investors including Boeing HorizonX Ventures, Singtel Innov8 and Main Sequence Ventures. The company is entering an exciting phase of rapid global growth and expects to triple in size in the coming months.
The Chief of Staff will support Myriota’s CEO to execute strategically and drive more parallel strategic initiatives across the business.
The Chief of Staff’s main duties include assisting the CEO in day to day activities, providing strategic briefing, and relationship management.
To be successful in this role, you should be proactive, meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
Our ideal candidate has worked in a Chief of Staff role, or may have previous experience in: Project/ Programme Management, Operations, Business Development, as a Senior Analyst or Adviser, and is familiar with a high growth technology company environment.
Ultimately, you should be able to identify and address the needs of the CEO and perform both strategic and administrative tasks to ensure our company’s workflow runs smoothly.
This position is based in Adelaide, South Australia, and will require both national and overseas travel.
Assorted items for CEO — filtering team information, presentations, etc.
CEO agenda—ensure CEO is briefed on meeting attendees/objectives/opportunities, attend important meetings, take notes/circulate action items for delivery/coordinate follow up
Board meeting preparation (including presentation assembly and meeting logistics)
Maintain Company Strategic Projects Register, Company Information pack, and Company Risk Register
Quarterly Roadmap / status tracking and updates
Run regular internal meetings and ensure senior leadership team tasks are actioned
Assist CEO in management of stakeholders and facilitate internal communication for CEO and senior management
Assist CEO in preparing for presentations, interviews and external communications
Prepare investor updates / fundraising pitch decks
Assist in Business Development for product related partnerships (e.g. maintain a strong understanding of and relationships with other technology companies building interesting things in our space)
Research potential grants and awards opportunities, and manage the applications process
Things you’ve done
Experience working in one or more of the following roles: Senior Analyst, Senior Adviser, Operations, Business Development, or Chief of Staff
Experience working in a fast paced, high growth, technology company
Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information, as you will have wide access to sensitive data and key decision makers across the organization
Built a strong network of professional relationships
Energetic, agile and creative problem solver who seeks simple solutions
Analytical thinker with attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate risks
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think strategically, proactively and prioritize work
