Signalling Manager - Victoria

John Holland's Rail business delivers project management, engineering, construction and maintenance services to the public and private railway sectors throughout Australia and internationally.

We are seeking a Signalling Manager - Victoria to join our team, who will be responsible for leading, growing and managing and the Victorian Signalling business stream and resources across the region.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage resources to ensure signalling capability is maintained within the business
  • Provide technical signalling expertise to tenders and projects
  • Share knowledge and innovation practices across the Business Group
  • Ensure appropriate contract and cost management practices are achieved
  • Determine signalling strategies to ensure cost efficiencies and maintain signalling integrity
  • Manage the training and capability compliance requirements for the team to ensure career paths and succession planning is successfully achieved.
  • Actively pursue and convert new business opportunities
  • Review and recommend signalling technical requirements for new business activities including tender review and pre contract processes.

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

  • A Trade qualification as a minimum or ideally a Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven relevant experience in the rail sector and in business management
  • Management of site based signalling activities in senior positions
  • Strong Commercial and contractual experience
  • A proven record in proactively managing industrial relations issues
