Case Manager - Family Preservation & Restoration

The purpose of the Role:

Anglicare provides family preservation and restoration, foster care and adoption services across metropolitan Sydney. The purpose of this life-changing career opportunity is to provide case management services to children and families within the Family Preservation & Restoration program.

Key responsibilities (not limited to):

  • To establish positive relationships with all stakeholders – child, carers, birth parents and others as required.
  • Ensure the well- being of children during visits with birth families and others by assessing safety and intervening if required.
  • Provide case plans that are clearly defined with achievable outcomes.
  • Ensure that a full client caseload is maintained by working within funding guidelines and program targets.
  • Ensure that the Family Preservation and Restoration program works in an integrated way with other Anglicare Community Services programs for clients by following systems and processes that are reliable, effective and provide optimal client outcomes.
  • Ensure that client information is reviewed regularly and kept up to date by completing reports in accordance with OOHC -Family Preservation & Restoration requirements.

Skills, knowledge and experience needed:

  • University qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Welfare/Community Services
  • NSW Drivers licence
  • Understanding of Family Preservation, Restoration, OOHC issues and relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated skills in assessment, counselling and casework
  • Knowledge of child protection and family support processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
