Duty Manager

As a Duty Manager you will be responsible for assisting all departmental managers in running the operation of the resort on the morning, evening and night shifts being capable to help and assist in all areas of the resort including front desk, food & beverage, housekeeping, activities, retail, kids club and any area that may need help at the time.

 

Most importantly you will be a customer service extraordinaire, demonstrating how you have an amplitude to listen to our guests concerns, console and resolve their problems, show empathy towards their issues, believe in always going the extra mile and be able to do this under immense pressure.

 

We are looking for a HAND’S ON Manager that’s willing to help out wherever necessary.

 

To start you MUST:

  • Be prepared to be challenged every day and see challenge as an opportunity.
  • Work with foresight rather than hindsight.
  • High standard of personal presentation and hygiene setting the benchmark.
  • Have previous experience management experience in a customer service focused hospitality environment
  • Enjoy working a rotating roster that includes days, nights, weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Have a current RSA qualification, or willing to attain one.
  • Have a current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willing to attain one.
  • Have a passion to provide a high level of Customer Service to the guests – exceed their expectations.
  • Provide a Cover Letter accompanying your resume, outlining how you meet the selection criteria.

  • Have an understanding of all hotel departments
  • Enjoy the “Hello Zone”
  • The ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks and think outside the square
  • Willingness to use initiative and assist in solving problems/ guest complaints
