About the role

Working with our Sales & Marketing team, reporting through to the Commercial insights Manager, this position will play a pivotal role in determining key company strategies to grow the business.

This role will be involved in product development, category strategy establishment and market & consumer research. This is a dynamic role with plenty of scope to work within one of Australia's leading FMCG companies.

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Managing the completion of customer range reviews & presentations;
  • Making recommendations to the Marketing & Sales teams on NPD (range extensions & white space opportunities), portfolio management, range, space and promotional activity across all categories;
  • Producing timely reports and presentations to deliver industry knowledge and activity;
  • Assisting the Commercial Insights team in proving internal & external stakeholders insights on customer, shoppers and retailers;
  • Assisting the sales team in analysing trade spend and profit ROI;
  • Fortnightly sales reporting;
  • Developing and implementing improved reporting communication across the business.

About you

This role provides the opportunity for you to succeed and progress within a thriving and growing Company. Combined with your ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment, you will:

  • Have completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree;
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Category/Sales Analyst role or as a Retail data supplier;
  • Be a proven analytical thinker, who thrives on acquiring new knowledge;
  • Have experience managing competing priorities whilst maintaining high standards;
  • Possess the curiosity to question and creatively deliver more than just an answer;
  • Be a motivated self-starter who takes initiative and can meet timelines;
  • Have advanced Excel capabilities;
  • Experience in analysis using Nielsen or IRI scan data and Quantium Data;
  • Strong commercial acumen.
