National Credit Manager

About the role

This position will be responsible for driving change and strategy in order to further improve our Credit function. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this position will play a pivotal role in implementing process improvement to maximise debt collection.

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Managing customer collections and payments processing – the major supermarkets and the food service industry i.e. petrol and convenience stores and cafes;
  • Leading and developing the Credit team and National Credit function;
  • Building strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders;
  • Preparing weekly and monthly accounts receivable KPI reporting for senior management;
  • Approving new customer credit applications;
  • Process reengineering and improvement; and
  • Presenting strategic reports to senior stakeholders.

About you

Within this fast paced and dynamic role your enthusiasm and impact will be heard and recognised! To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or Finance is desirable but not essential;
  • 5+ years FMCG National Credit Manager experience;
  • Experience using an ERP system and intermediate excel;
  • The ability to be hands on where necessary and delegate tasks to the credit team;
  • Problem solving ability with an attention to detail;
  • The ability to cope with pressure in a fast-paced environment and handle a number of tasks simultaneously by prioritising;
  • A positive attitude and proactively looks for solutions to areas of problems;
  • Ability to adopt a highly agile approach to their work practice;
  • High level of stakeholder engagement and appropriate communication management; and
  • Strong commercial acumen.
