Supply Planner

About the role

This role will be tasked with planning material availability and necessary finished goods production to ensure that customer requirements are met in full and on time.

This position will play a key role in all planning activities to ensure safety, quality, throughput and efficiency are aligned to targets and Company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Engaging and developing people to build an achieving culture with constructive behaviours;
  • Developing supply-chain best practice through process mapping, definition and training of stakeholders;
  • Champion of the planning cycle for the Shepparton site;
  • Managing and optimising all planning & MRP activities to drive: Service level improvements, operational excellence, OEE, Yield, Direct Labour, Plant efficiencies and utilisation;
  • Liaising with key material suppliers on key service deliverables to ensure execution of plans;   
  • To collaborate with x-functional stakeholders to deliver successful execution of NPD & phase-out programs;
  • To control and reduce wastage to an acceptable competitive industry standard;
  • Maximising work orders’ yield recovery;
  • Review and update specific site-planning policies and associated master data;  
  • Contribute to development of production & supply planning reporting suite; and
  • Participate in the operations team’s continuous improvement projects.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be a motivated self-starter capable of delivering strong results to meet operations targets. Additionally, you will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Supply Planner within the FMCG sector, preferably within the food, beverage or dairy industry;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing, Supply-chain or a related field is essential;
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, MFG Pro (QAD) will be highly regarded;
  • A working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Food Safety standards is preferred;
  • Experience using business intelligence reporting tools is desired; 
  • Superior analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • A strong ability to develop and implement strategies to ensure continual growth and improvement;
  • Superb interpersonal skills to overcome technical or relationship barriers and resistance to change;
  • Sound communication skills and an ability to positively influence a team; and
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
