Senior Demand Planner

About the role

This role will be responsible for leading efficient and accurate planning to drive deliverables and Company success. This position will work with our customers, Sales and Procurement teams and Supply Chain Management to improve forecast accuracy and maintain control of the sites supply chain solutions, facilitating and driving the S&OP through fostering clear communication and collaboration.

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Develop and execute product demand plans to meet Company goals;
  • Forecast and optimize stock according to Company objectives;
  • Develop demand forecasts based on demand patterns and trends;
  • Work with customers, Sales and Supply Chain Management to improve forecast accuracy;
  • Maintain inventory levels based on the future customer demands;
  • Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply;
  • Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy;
  • Monitor and assess effectiveness of process and drive continuous improvement; and
  • Automate demand process and set sales base lines.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be hands on and an autonomous self-starter, with proven experience in managing priorities and multitasking. Additionally, you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG Supply Chain – demand planning/procurement;
  • Completed Tertiary education with a Bachelor’s degree, desired but not essential;
  • Strong numerical detailed reporting and excel skills;
  • A continuous improvement mindset;
  • A strong ability to work cross functionally and build rapport across a various stakeholder groups;
  • Strong analytical, communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills;
  • The ability to adopt a highly agile approach to your work practice;
  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritise; and
  • High level of stakeholder engagement and appropriate communication management.
