Senior Staffing Operations & Services Coordinator

VenuesLive Management Services (NSW) Pty Ltd (VenuesLive) proudly manages ANZ Stadium, Australia’s premier sports and entertainment venue with an annual patronage in excess of 1.3 million people.  ANZ Stadium hosts major events including the NRL Grand Final, State of Origin, Bledisloe Cup, concerts and music festivals as well as many other national and international sporting and entertainment events.  VenuesLive also provides catering services to various venues and events throughout New South Wales, including the Sydney metropolitan area and Wollongong.

VenuesLive is also the Operator of the new Western Sydney Stadium in Parramatta which is due to open in the first quarter of 2019.

The following opportunity exists to join our high achieving team and work in a dynamic sports and events business.

VenuesLive is seeking to employ a Senior Coordinator to join our Staffing Operations & Services program which manages our 1,800 strong multi-skilled casual workforce.  This is a terrific opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people in a fast paced work environment.  While ANZ Stadium will be the ‘home base’ for this position the successful candidate will also be involved with the deployment and management of staff at our external venues.

The key responsibilities of the position are:-

  • Liaising with and mentoring staff.
  • Developing deployment plans and building / filling rosters.
  • Assisting with the recruitment and induction of staff.
  • Undertaking general administrative functions.
  • Assisting with payroll.
  • Assisting with the coordination and delivery of staff training.
  • Overseeing activities associated with the coordination of staff requirements on event days (eg deployment of staff).
  • Managing staff performance.

The successful applicant should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources role desirable.
  • Scheduling, rostering and / or staffing experience essential.
  • Systematic and process focused with superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel).
  • Experience in payroll and time and attendance systems highly regarded.

A commitment to customer service, high levels of energy, willingness to work flexible hours in line with the requirements of the Stadium's event schedule (including evening and weekend work) and a positive ‘can do’ attitude, is what is required to successfully undertake this position.

This is an exciting and challenging role for someone who has previous experience in managing and deploying large teams of staff and who thrives on working within a dynamic environment. Appropriate remuneration will be offered commensurate with the nature of the position and experience of the successful candidate.
