Trainer - Mackay

NEATO Employment Services are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Trainer to join our team in Mackay.

The Role

This is a dynamic and rewarding position that allows you to work independently, and as part of a successful team, facilitating the delivery of internal training with the ultimate goal of assisting our clients to secure sustainable employment opportunities.

The successful candidate will carry out duties including but not limited to;

  • Liaising with clients from a diverse range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds;

  • Delivery of accredited courses and soft skills for an external provider;

  • Confidently facilitating group training and one-on-one sessions to a diverse range of job seekers;

  • Managing training materials, ensuring information is updated and communicated accordingly;

  • Market relevant training courses to Employment Specialists;

  • Monitoring and evaluating clients learning progress, providing guidance and motivation to ensure they successfully complete training courses;

  • Working closely with the team to identify appropriate job seekers for appropriate training;

  • Working independently and as a team to meet outcomes within agreed timeframes;

  • Maintaining and organising training facilities;

  • Accurate data entry and maintenance client file notes into company databases;

  • Distribution of attendance and completion statistics to management.


About You

As part of the Mackay team, you will support the team and clients with your excellent communication and people skills in delivering quality training to achieve positive outcomes. Previous experience in a similar position and relevant qualifications is mandatory.

You will be competent in the following role expectations:

  • Able to connect and engage with a diverse range of clients;
  • Relevant training qualifications and TAE accreditation (Cert IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor) is mandatory;

  • Previous industry and/or training experience in a similar role will be highly regarded;

  • Operational understanding or ability to attain Education Outcome requirements is highly desired;

  • Knowledge, understanding and adherence to privacy and confidentiality guidelines;

  • Ability to confidently deliver training in front of smaller to larger training groups;

  • Able to connect and engage with a diverse range of clients;

  • An effective communicator and motivator;

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet targets within agreed timeframes;

  • Proficient administration skills, including MS Office with strong attention to detail;

  • A skilled problem solver with talent for conflict resolution and ability to use initiative;

  • High degree of integrity and a very strong work ethic;

  • High degree of professionalism and a high level of personal presentation.
